The Northumberland Sensory Support Service is a team of specialist staff who work with children and young people with numerous vision, hearing and other sensory impairments. Find out more below.

Northumberland Sensory Support Service 

The Northumberland Sensory Support Service is a team of specialist staff who work across the county with children and young people with hearing impairments (HI), vision impairments (VI) and multi-sensory impairments (MSI).

 

The team's aim is that all children make good progress, achieve well and enjoy their school and family life. Staff support children and young people from 0-19 years (25 years with an EHCP) along with their families and schools/educational settings.

Emotional Wellbeing and Behaviour Support

The Emotional Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Team provide support and advice to schools and young people who are displaying challenging behaviour as a result of an underlying social, emotional or mental health need.
